I was including their flashcards, which used to be $300-ish.

    $3,360 course

    $179 flashcards

    $495 final review

    Total package: $4,034

Having gone 2/2 with another review course half the price, FOR ME, it wouldn't be worth it to shell out $3,600. All that matters is the end result (hopefully passing) which many have proven is doable without Becker. As another poster said, evaluate the different courses and decide for yourself which will be best. We all learn differently, maybe you would learn better with Becker, maybe not….

If I thought Becker was the ONLY course that would allow me to pass would I buy it? Sure I would, but obviously for ME, that is not the case.

I'm currently using Becker and I'm only 2 years removed from college and I failed my first time with AUD and I put in the time and work so it wasn't due to a lack of effort. I do feel they explain things well but I feel like they make you highight way to much information. When making my notes, I almost felt guilty when I left certain highlighted information out because its just way to much (maybe thats why I failed). I'd definitely recommend going through and sampling the other review course options. I strictly went based on recommendation from my managers and friends who've used Becker and passed all sections without having to retake them. I shelled out the $3,600.00, which I'm not too happy about since I failed, maybe I'm just sour about failing AUD. Now I'm spendig more to supplement with Becker which is not something I thought I'd have to do after spending the $3,600 for the program. Choose what works for you and not what is perceived as the “best” review course.

    AUD: (65)(66) 77
REG: (66) (48) destroyed me mentally.....
    FAR: (68) (66)(69)(71)
    BEC: (63) 75

@OP— A review course is only worth as much as you make it. If you pay the $3k for Becker and then only glance over the book or watch the videos while simultaneously watching YouTube or do the MCQs without really understanding why you got questions wrong, it will not be worth the money. If you pay the $3k and give the CPA Exam 200% of your attention, it will be worth the money.

But to your specific question, I would probably only recommend using Becker if you are getting a company reimbursement. There are many, many, many study tools out there that cost far less and will give you the same results. I used Becker back in 2007-2008 and passed one test and then failed 6 straight exams. This time around I used CPAExcel and I've been 3 for 3. The big difference was my attitude and my commitment to passing, not necessarily which review course I used.

    F- 7/13- 84
    R- 10/13- 79
    A- 11/13- 99
    B- 1/14- 86

    Licensed in PA- 3/20/2014

This exam ALMOST defeated me back in 2006-2008, but I came back and WON!

I agree with the what some have said. Courses are only good if you put in the effort.

People pass and fail with Becker.

People pass and fail with Rogers.

People pass and fail with CPAExcel.

People pass and fail with Rogers.

    Etc.

    See a pattern?

If I can put in the effort for something 1/3 the price and pass, I cannot justify the price of Becker.

    BEC Oct2014 - 85
    AUD Jan2015 - ??
    REG Feb2015 - ??
    FAR May2015 - ??

I think Becker has such a high pass rate because they get motivated candidates. When you or your boss pays thousands of dollars for materials you are committed! I am just not convinced that all things being equal as far as candidate motivation, that Becker is superior to other providers. Other providers are just more accessible.
