Hi, I am a newly enrolled student for CPA and aiming to give BEC as my first exam in April mid 2014. I am studying from all Becker materials. I have heard a lot about Wiley question bank and ninja notes. Can anyone please suggest if Becker material alone is sufficient for BEC. I am doing good with Becker mcq and at this point I don’t know trying new question bank would be a wise idea or not. Plus, I have also heard that Becker mcq are similar to the actual exam questions. God knows how true it is. Please suggest if I should do Wiley test bank at this time..

And also how can I judge my written communication skills? I have understood the do’s and don’ts of WC but how do I grade my answers? Any help would be appreciated.

There is no harm in supplementing with Wiley. I was surprised that Wiley for BEC only has a little over 600 questions. Is the BEC section really that small?

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

I'll pencil you in as the first buyer, Monk.

    You'll like the pricing.

Sounds good. I think having another resource for questions is going to help a lot of people pass. Hopefully me to 😉

I'm trying to knock out AUD and BEC this summer, I have no $$ for becker (I'm still in undergrad) and will be paying for everything by myself besides I'll ask my parents to pay for my tests as my 22nd birthday gift(wo0-hoo). I've heard so many good things about NINJA notes and Wiley Test Bank that I am for sure buying those through here and doing the AICPA released questions from previous years…Pretty nervous that it “won't be enough” because everyone always talks about becker.

    BEC 8/14/14 - Passed
    Graduated from college 12/13/14
    AUD 8/31/15 - 74. Retake - Passed
    REG
    FAR

@Quinacridone I watched all the lectures, did all the homework, and rewrote all of my notes in that time frame. (You can see how much time in my signature…..about two weeks). Keep in mind, I am a halftime graduate student, so I don't have a job to worry about. However, I think four weeks is a decent timeline and you can do it. Personally, I don't like studying for a long period of time because I end up forgetting stuff from earlier chapters….I'm having the problem now with REG.

My biggest advice for BEC is to know the formulas like the back of your hand. It's not that hard to do if you rewrite them over a few times. Also, any time you are looking for a turnover you need the average of the A/R for example. That helped me with a lot of the formulas.

BEC is tricky, and I thought I bombed it. All you can do is get the formulas down and make sure you understand the info. I wish the best of luck to everyone. Find what works for you!

    F - 2/15/2014 - 85
    B - 2/26/2014 - 88
    R - 4/1/2014 - 83
    A - 4/21/2014 - 95

Becker has 1300 questions so this should be good; considering Wiley TB has 660.
