anybody pass audit this year using strictly Becker and possibly wiley?

I took it earlier this month. Overall I think Becker definitely did a good job preparing me for the MC Q's. As for the sims, I don't really think any one specific review program can ‘prepare you' for them, other than just showing you the layout of most of them.

I had some trouble on 2-3 of the sims I did (1 was completely not covered in Becker), but on 3-4 others I think I nearly aced. Although I haven't got my score back yet, I think it was really my test to fail, rather than it being that I was just not prepared enough to take the exam b/c of Becker.

For Becker.. I am having trouble with A4. It seems like the PassMaster questions had nothing to do the content, rather your common sense with accounting. How did you manage to do on that part? If I practice enough MC for the transactions portion of A4.. will that be enough for the exam? Also, did you practice JE?

Ya A4 I was my hardest topic as well while I was reviewing. I would just say try to get a good understanding of the Balance, Transaction and Disclosure functions and their related assertions.

Also another area in A4 which was my worst part in audit (for college and from the Becker review) was knowing those questions that asked you to match a specific action to a certain scenario like: “Non-approved customers are allowed to buy items with credit” and your answer is supposed to be something like “Consult the approved customer credit list”. That was like the easiest example that I remember from school… and the only one I really understood… lol… If you can do well on those types of questions you should be golden as far as A4 goes.

Becker was awesome for the MCQs; some MCQs matched exactly.

Sims are a toss up. You need to know your stuff and just do your best.

Yeah Becker was spot on for me. The best of the 3 I've taken so far

For me Becker did not get the job done for me. Took Audit 3x with becker and failed each time. I am studying my 4th retake with Roger and all of sudden everything starting to make sense 🙂 Sorry Becker is not my cup of tea.
