I am studying for AUD right now using Becker, and there seems to be a lot of repetition of the MC ?s and they also seem very easy. I used Becker for BEC and was scoring in the high 60s to low 80s on the MC ?s, but with AUD I am in the high 80s and low 90s. I did just take audit 2 at Florida State in the spring, so the material is a lot fresher, but wanted to get wanted to know if Becker adequately prepares you for the AUD section.

    BEC 5/30/11 86
    AUD 7/14/11 90
    REG 8/31/11 90
    FAR 11/25/11 82
    DONE!!!

I tested on Audit in April, after only using Becker to prep. I walked out of the exam feeling great (only took me 1.5 hours to complete), and scored an 85. I'm not sure if it was due to Becker's prep or if I just lucked out on the exam I got.

Plus Wiley will guarantee you a pass, trust me, I passed it on the third attempt using Wiley not just Becker

Yes, Becker material for AUD is really helpful. I have taken AUD twice and both with the passing scores. I took twice because the first one expired so I lost my credit. I have a friend who also studied from Becker and passed it as well. So stick with your Becker studying. Keep practicing on the MCs and simulationl, and you will be fine.

    Good luck!

Becker is showing the “Financial Ratios” section as “Ancillary Material.” Were there enough questions on anyone's exams to warrant reading and memorizing these formulas? I am assuming it is not heavily tested, but wanted to throw the question out there in case anyone thought otherwise. Thanks!

I took AUD 2/18 and was shocked to see that I definitely should have studied the financial ratios much more than I had. I merely read through them twice as they were just ancillary. Don't kill yourself over trying to memorize all of the ratios, but definitely try to get a good grasp over the basic ones.

    BEC: 79 (10/8/10)

    FAR: 75 (11/22/10)

    REG: 79 (1/14/2011)

    AUD: 69 (2/18/2011) Re-examination 7/27/2011

@minimorty, I spent very little time on ratios, I looked over them a couple days before the exam and that was adequate for me. I think Becker is correct in marking it as ancillary and your time is better spent focusing on other things

    AUD - 85
    BEC - 85
    FAR - 76
    REG - 75

@KES and @m.howard – Sounds like a plan, thanks for the input. There was a simulation in the Becker text that was solely about calculating the various financial ratios. I scored about 60% on it the first time around. I'll probably look over the ratios once more but not spend too much time with them.

I believe so – I used Becker for AUD and believe it prepared me thoroughly.

    REG | 77
    FAR | 76
    BEC | 83

I used Becker for AUD, only went through the first 3 chapters, didn't review, didn't memorize anything, and still got a 61. I think I would have definitely passed had I done it right! Becker is a good program.

    FAR - F (2011), 5/16
    AUD - F(2011)
    BEC -
    REG -

2nd attempt at this thing. Time to get serious.

I like Becker with the Wiley online questions.
