Hi there,

Can anyone suggest a way to use the NINJA questions while studying FAR with Becker? I am on chapter 7/10 in Becker, but each time I try to use my NINJA questions, I come across question that Becker hasn’t covered yet, and I am not even able to skip. Even if I select a topic I think I have covered, I still have this issue.

You may want to try going through all the material first, then answering the MCQs.

I use both, too, but I use Ninja after I have completed Becker as a final review supplement.

Yeah I agree with Eba. You may be much better with FAR material than I, but it took me a ton of time before some of the concepts truly made sense. I would go through the book and then do multiple choice questions for a while. Then keep referring to the book for areas that are more difficult for you.

OK thanks guys,

I will have about 2.5 weeks when I finish chapter 10, and I’m going to take Becker final review during that time as well. Just wish there was a way to bypass a question for a topic I haven’t covered yet. I wanted to start NINJA now.

It may not work for everyone, but I go ahead and do the questions on topics that I haven't covered yet. I figure the exposure can't hurt. So I take my best guess and read the explanation. If it makes sense, great! If it doesn't, it gives me more reason to keep studying because I clearly don't know everything.

and I think there is an option (maybe the ? at the top near where you hit submit) that identifies the question as something you know you don't know so it doesn't count against you – I THINK, I could be totally wrong, but for some reason I thought that's the function the ? button provides. Anyone know for sure?

I used NINJA for BEC after going through Becker … There is a lot covered in NINJA MCQ that you will never see in Becker. I find it hard to do both because NINJA makes you feel like you dont know anything and then you feel totally unprepared. So, that is sort of a caution – use NINJA if you have sufficient time because it will make you feel like you do not know anything! lol.

Don't use NINJA MCQ until you get to the N I (N) in NINJA

-Nail the Concepts (your materials))
-Intense Notes (over your materials)
-Non-Stop MCQ (switch to NINJA and never look back)
-Just re-write your notes (over your materials + your notes over NINJA MCQ)
-All Comes together – Keep reading your notes and working NINJA MCQ until you hate me, this site, and the word “NINJA” and then go in and dominate your exam.

Just filter the MCQ selection on the sections you've covered already. I used the Wiley books and Ninja MCQ this way. It's worked for the most part.

I cannot stop laughing when I see Jeff's response, I normally finish up all MCQ and do trouble questions. Most of the time I get trouble questions wrong again, and I would go back to the book to read again. When I took Far, I didn't finish all the MCQ, I got 82. When I took Reg, I finish all the questions, but didn't have time to go over trouble questions, I got 86. This time with AUD, I would go over again and again until I get sick of it.

Hi I would like to tack on a question to this post. I will be retaking AUD, I plan on following the steps Jeff has for nailing the concepts through the material, rewriting notes, non stop MCQs (etc etc). I am curious though how many weeks before the exam would everyone suggest starting the non stop MCQ and re writing the notes. I know every one will be different but i would like to see a gage of what every one says and although I have already taken the exam I am reviewing everything again like I have never done the exam. Also I am using Becker for the study material since I already bought it.Thanks

@ aCPA 143, I used becker for my Aud and had to take twice to pass it. I left 1 week for my final review because material was not that much compares to other parts. I thought one week would be enough, I did mcqs from becker final review and the ones I did wrong in the regular course. I read the book at least 3 times before the exam and refreshed my memories. hope this would help you .
