I am trying to understand my pace with others and curious how long it should averagely take to finish chapter 4 ( investment and Business Combination ) ? I took the whole day .How many chapters of Becker’s normally you review in day assuming you are reading during retake ?

In my experience, reading spend enough time to give the chapter an honest read (not a skim but don't need to read it like a preacher reads the Bible).

Then do MCQ until your eyes bleed. Every learning style is different but reading the chapter alone did not prepare me for the exam – the MCQs alloow you to apply it.

I took about 1200 MCQ of the recommended 2000 before passing FAR.

The estimate that FAR takes 150 hrs is about right – and more for some people.

In Becker's FAR book (2015 version) I could read and comprehend 15 pages per hour. In the Becker AUD, BEC, and REG books, I could read at 25 pages per hour. So the FAR book seemed quite tedious just for that reason. I re-read FAR three times on my second try at FAR. I might have gotten up to 20 pages per hour on the third read.
