How in depth should I study for FAR? — Using Becker

I am sitting for my first exam, FAR, in mid July. I am using Becker self-study and find myself becoming too concerned with every little detail in the chapter. I have given myself 5 weeks of 2 chapters per week with 2 weeks of review. I plan on really attacking the MCQ and material highlighted through the lectures.

My question is how much attention should I give to the material that is not highlighted or discussed in the lectures. I take notes on MCQs I get wrong or guess on and make sure I understand the concept.

    Any advice?

IGNORE any info that is not highlighted, let alone not discussed ( I did that ).

My score release is on June 9. But, based on my experience, nothing I didn't highlight came up on exam day. Becker highlights all info that you need to be aware of. Other than that, is junk. Please note I only took FAR, so I'm talking about FAR.

I have Becker and I personally think I over studied and spent way to long and was worried about each and every question and I failed FAR, I think it was cuz their MCQ were so time consuming and I was too worried with getting each question correct and not about why something was wrong.

For FAR, I only reviewed the highlighted material. BEC is a different ballgame. Read everything.

For FAR, I used Becker and I paid attention to everything. My exam did have some questions that was not part of the highlighted material. The key for me was to read a section and then complete the questions. I made sure that I understood the section before moving on.
