    Becker Question –

They seem like a lot of common knowledge, but is it incredibly important to memorize them verbatim? Or just have a gereral understanding since (it seems to me) that they are somewhat obvious points for the topic…

    B 79
    A 75
    R 78
    F 85

I found them very helpful during the exam. I tweaked some to be more useful for me. Definitely used them for the DM, DL & mfg o/h variances.

    AUD - 89
    REG - 79
    FAR - 82
    BEC - 84

I can never memorize acronyms. But for audit i think PAID TIPS ACDO and CRIME is useful. I'm going to make sure to memorize them.

ha! I always wonder the same thing as I am going through the Becker book… there is no way I will memorize all of them; however, I think some of them are more important than others… i.e TIP PIE ACDO, CRIME, HELP ME, TIPPY PASSER, COVERU, ULIARCPA.. I am curious to see what people who have actually taken the exam think!

I utilized COVERU, TIP PIE ACDO. Also, very important to remember the audit report charts found at the end of A1. Without that chart I would never have survived the exam!

thanks @dont5253! I have marked that page on A1! I am leaving the review of that page for the night before the test as I want to make sure it is as fresh in my head as possible!

I find it too confusing to learn so many, if you are struggling with a topic, learn one… otherwise just absorb the information as you normally would. They're learning tools, if mnemonics work for you, great, if you can learn in different ways that's fine too.

Personally I only learned TIP PIE ACDO (cause they shove it down your throat) and CRIME because I was having a hard time remembering stuff in that section, all the other mnemonics went in and out.

I would also like to second what dont5253 said, those audit report charts were invaluable.

    REG: 85
    AUD: 74, 85
    FAR: 74 (sigh)
BEC: 80 (don't even ask me how)

I am absolutely terrible at them. I can either remember the mnemonic or what it was about. So I almost always just shut it out. I'm way better at remembering the reasonings behind something and working toward the answer from there. Sort of a if you know why, you should be able to figure out how.

    BEC - 85
    FAR - 85
    REG - 82
    AUD - 68, 88
