@goodluck2everyone, maybe we should ask after AICPA release REG.

In the REG forums, plenty of people expressed frustration with Becker (including myself) after walking away from the exam. We all should keep in mind that no matter what, every review course is based on the premise of a gamble: whether they can predict what will be on the upcoming exams with the information provided, i.e. previously released exam questions corresponding to current CSO's.

A lot of individuals suggested supplementing Becker REG with Wiley test bank, as I will upon receiving my likely second fail this window.

I used Becker lectures, books, and multiple choice. I felt absolutely terrible coming out of the exam. I got an 87 though, so they must have done something right.

Can let you know in a few days how well prepared I was with Becker…(although if I don't do well, it may have no reflection on Becker, but on my study tactics)

I used Becker for REG. I don't feel confident at all. I was so upset after leaving. I studied four hours a night for five weeks. Waiting on scores now so I guess we will see. Passed FAR with Becker.

I agree with erincritchfield. I felt pretty bad leaving the exam but I ended up scoring well so while it appears I didn't feel like I did well, Becker had me pretty well prepared. So for those of you sweating it out on REG after studying with Becker, hopefully this provides a little relief!

I needed to supplement Becker for REG. I didn't realize how much I didn't know or understand until I used another course in conjunction with Becker.

However, I really think it all depends on how comfortable you are with taxation on entities. Most people are fairly comfortable with individual and the business law section is pretty straight forward. So that just leaves Pship, Corp, SCorp, Estates, etc.

    AUD: 89 2/22/11
    FAR: 78 5/17/11
    REG: 72, 83 10/17/11
    DONE!!!!

I don't think Becker prepared me, but I did pass. Did a lot of educated guesses and changing answers on SIMS.

    A 11/11 90
    R 8/11 86

Waiting on my REG results. I used Becker, and I must say I was shocked by how much seemed like foreign material on the test. I did all Becker HW twice, many 70+ question review quizzes, both Final Exams.

Now whether my questions were hard because Becker didn't teach it, or because I was doing well on the exam remains to be seen.

So in total (so far), I'd say Becker let me down on the REG portion. I think it kicked butt on the Audit section (for me anyways).

I'll get back on here after my results and eat Becker crow if I pull off the upset.

I had a hard time with the non-tax portion of Reg. I don't think it was Becker's strongest moments.
