Totally agree.
The way the exams work is – take the area you've studied least, we will sniff that out like a predator senses fear and ask you every question we can on the subject.
The percentage distributions on questions is good for laughs at a really boring party but otherwise – anything goes.
FAR has some notoriously difficult sections – so my strategy was to focus on the difficult sections as my “most important”.
Becker with Ninja MCQ is a deadly combination. How much experience in the exams do you have? If it's your first exam – I'd say do it their way – go through Becker then go through Ninja. Add Ninja Notes for a pre-read and touch up throughout.
If this is your 2nd or 3rd exam and you know your capabilities and limits – you can fast track some items in Becker.
If I recall correctly – some may correct – the Becker way includes:
A – Videos (with active highlighting/listening)
B – Reading book
C – MCQ
D – Sims
E – Mock exams
I will testify that I didn't do a single mock exam after my first exam – REG. Complete waste of time – for me. YMMV. Why? Because with Ninja – every MCQ session is a mock exam, study session and gauge of readiness to take exam. So why just take two mock exams when you can take 20?! So that's a time savings – scratch the mock exams and REPLACE with Ninja. Not a short cut but a better use of time.
I also question re-reading of the book if you go through the vids. If you're a reader – read the book and forget the vids. If you're an auditory learner – go through the vids and skim the book. Time savings. Ninja will reinforce the content.
Reading Ninja notes at beginning, then for problem sections, then at end – a great way to make the exam a part of your dna.
Again – if this is your first rodeo – do it their way – but if your learning style is such that you can successfully do what I did – go for it.
But please take no comfort in what sections are most important – they all are.
