Ok .. so here it is. I have gotten through all of Chapter 1 lecture for auditing in Becker. I feel like i highlighted ALOT! Highlight this .. underline that … So my question is to anyone using Becker for AUD .. what is your study plan? I think I am going to do ALL videos first then notes from NINJA then MCQS but didn’t know if that seemed crazy. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I have used Becker for FAR, REG and just took my AUD test and feel like I did pretty well, though only time will tell. I basically would watch the lectures and do all the highlighting and underlining. Then I would review the chapter, and then I would do all of the MC questions and sims. I would repeat for each chapter, taking the progress test at the end of each chapter to make sure I keep as much of the earlier material in my head as possible. Then when I finished the final chapter I went through each chapter and wrote notes on what I felt were all the key points of the chapter. I took several progress tests leading up to the test along with the final exam. It has worked for me so far. Good luck.

    FAR - 81
    REG - 75
    AUD - 85
    BEC - 79

Thank goodness it's over... Now on to the next step...

I took AUD this week and I also used Becker to prepare for the test. In my case I watched the lectures first, read the chapter, studied the flash cards and then worked on MCQ and SIMS. After I was done with all the chapters I decided to re-read the book but this time I started taking notes of the most important stuff and that’s when the learning started to happen. After doing that for all six chapters I went back and worked on the MCQ again and I was scoring in the 80’s most of the time.

I believe that there's no substitute for taking your own notes. There are so many details in the study materials that reading alone will not be enough. Good luck!

I usually do all the highlighting and underlining just so I remember what Becker emphasized during the lecture, then go back after the chapter is done to make flashcards and/or take notes. Helps me to know what I should probably emphasize in my notes and flashcards. Because the NINJA notes sometimes are in a different order than Becker presents the material, I have usually saved those until the last week as part of my review.

I know some prefer to go through all lectures first and then go back for their MCQ's. I just prefer to do the MCQ's as I finish each section – I think it helps me to solidify the material a bit right at the time I am initially learning it. Then I try to redo the MCQ's again during review at the end. You just have to find what you are comfortable with and what works for you.

    FAR - 92 (4/27/12)
    AUD - 96 (7/17/12)
    BEC - 92 (8/30/12)
    REG - 91 (11/12/12)
