So my FAR test is 05/27. I do not think I will be able to make it through Becker self-study 7-10.

I was thinking of just starting to focus on the FAR Final Review, as many MCQs as I can cram in and simulation practices. Also getting familiar with the codification material.

Any advice? or things that I should for sure cover in the self study!?

Do you mean you have not gone through 7-10? There was a similar thread the other day.

The question puts you behind the 8 ball – which means whatever you do is risky.

What I would do is watch the remaining videos (about 9-12 hours?) for those sections then practice like made with Ninja MCQ. The advantage will be that each session of mcq is effectively a practice exam and each one will give you an incremental perspective on how both where you stand and how you are improving. I don't find Becker to be sufficient in that area. YMMV.

Another benefit of Ninja MCQ is that their explanations are better than Becker. Becker answer explanations will often be terse.

It took me 1200 MCQ to get ready for FAR. Others more, some less.

Yes. I will not make it through 7-10. I figured it would be more useful to do a comprehensive review so I can at least get an overview and review everything.

Also, would it be worth the $165 to have someone go over all 10 chapters in the review book or buy the Ninja MCQ and do Becker sims which I have read are hit and miss.

I just looked at the FAR Ninja MCQ and under description it said it comes with simulations as well!? Is this true!?

don't shortcut the last few chapters of the becker course, you'll regret it. You've got 2 weeks to cover 3 units, I'd increase my efforts and do the final review the weekend before your exam. Gov't and NP can be a significant portion of your exam and have nuances that will take your 76 to a 74 in no time. Final review is higher level review, but doesn't get into any nitty gritty.

Plus it might not make sense, but I feel like the final review questions were easier than the ”normal' software (that could be due to being more prepared, but overall that was my impression). Could be a nice confidence booster going in.

My biggest recommendation (coming from someone who took it but have no idea of score…) is to focus more on reinforcing what you already know more than trying to cover new concepts the final 3/4 days before the exam. For example, look through the SIMs but don't actually do them, just read the solutions and connect how it was done and why it was done that way, noting anything you might not have fully understood. Just an opinion that was effective for me.

depends on if you get anything out of the videos. It's a good recommendation if you feel like those are effective. I like doing MCQ's first to get an overview of what you do and don't know, making note of what you got wrong, then the lecture to bring home the concepts. If you have 0 experience in the topic, the opposite is probably better. Everyone is different in what's most effective so I can't really answer that. There are so many recommendations all over this board, you'll see that everyone tweaks it a bit.

Do not look for any shortcuts – they don't work on an exam like this, unless you have a pretty solid understanding to start. Also, don't spend too much time figuring out the “best” way based on this forum, you'll waste too much time. Just get cracking until you figure out how to make it stick.

If you skip 7, 8, 9, and 10, that is 4 parts out of ten. You are skipping 40% of the material. That means you could get the other 60% perfectly right, and still be in bad shape. You really need to buckle down and work it. You are at a significant disadvantage if you don't review those areas. Don't want to sound harsh, but that is just the way it is.

Instead I was going to just watch the lecture and follow along, then do Ninja MCQ and some Becker MCQ. I spent way too much time in earlier sections doing the homework and I haven't really found it very useful aside from JE.
