Hard time with AUD via Becker

I’m going into Chapter 5 now for AUD, and my test is just a little over a month away. No way could I fit it into the first 10 days of September, especially given work will pick up with the 9/15 deadline (I’m on the tax side).

Chapter 4 in particular, but 3 too, has given me a really hard time. The issue is Becker gives the vaguest overview ever over all the processes with payroll, the flowcharts, etc. and I feel like the MCQ’s go into some serious details that I’ll never get to click given I don’t do this day-to-day and the book doesn’t give a clear step-by-step detail of this.

So, for those of you have used Becker and/or recently taken AUD, any suggestions for me?

Overall, I’m just really struggling with AUD and thought it would be easier for me. FAR seems like a piece of cake compared to this.

I’ll probably buy NINJA supplement here in the next week.

Just bang out MC. Audit is the easiest and Becker does a good job with this test.

The lectures NEVER come close to covering all of the MC.

Just bang them out, tons of them.

I went into Becker to try to see what you might be asking about but couldn't see the specific part of A3 or A4 that you mentioned. Do you have any specific questions?

I think a lot of content with Audit was very high level. For instance, if you have a situation where the person who pays payroll also pays tax deposits, you may want to have separation of duties or other controls to ensure the person doesn't pocket the money or fail to deposit the money. It's not a step by step thing – it's usually the identification of a risk and how you might reduce that risk.

But yes, MCQ will reinforce concepts plus any specific questions with references to particular content would help.
