I’m taking both Audit and FAR on 11/14 and have been doing pretty well on the Becker Final Exams. All in the 70’s. I’m losing a ton of points on both FAR Government & NFP questions as well as Government Auditing. In the practice exam alot of questions cover these topics. Will I see as many questions on these topics in the actual exams?

Yes, nfp and gov't is about 20% of the FAR exam. You won't see too many on audit( i forget the %). I found the Becker questions in the final exams were more challenging than the actual exam. Focus on what the lecture focuses on, work through the questions, and you'll be fine.

for FAR: Learn the basic statements for each type of entity: governmental, proprietary, and fiduciary. Also, learn the key points of each and which funds go into each one. A fair number of questions are high level like that (diff. b/w funds, which funds in each group, etc.). Also the basic entries for encumbrances, expenses, revenue, etc. I also struggled to really understand governmental and non-profit accounting, so I just focused on the basic ideas and concepts and it served me fairly well. Nothing on FAR is excessively detailed so at the very least make sure you understand everything high-level. If you have extra time, then focus more on the details. Hope this helps. Good luck!

If you really understand the concept of GRaSPP SE PAPI and unrestricted/restricted/temp it will help a lot 🙂

make sure to do the supplemental questions for Govermental as well. AS they really help you nail the concepts down

Invest in the Gleim software. If you can answer their MCQs on Gov't & NFP, then you will be fine.
