Congratulations to those who passed. My efforts were not as successful and I’m looking for advice as to how to proceed, as well as what those of you who passed REG and AUD using Becker did differently. I took AUD, REG, and BEC in Q3, but only passed BEC. I am looking to pass as many parts as possible before starting work in January.
I took AUD on the first day of the testing window after studying around 200 hours (all guided lectures, skills practices, MCQ, SIMS, practice exams, reviewed textbook front to back repeatedly). Walked out feeling “ok” on the MCQ, but guessing on most of the SIMS which were foreign to me except for the research and assumed I did not pass. I just found out I failed with not a 70, not a 65, but a 57. A 57.
I took REG in August. Unlike my experience with AUD, I was doing poorly on the Becker MCQ so I purchased NINJA MCQ to supplement, hand wrote notes, and did not to do SIMS or listen to guided lectures. I buckled down and finally got to the point where I was able to remember all the minute details and correctly solve every single MCQ without looking at the answer choices. I was admittedly less confident with business law. Struggled immensely navigating through the DRS and guessed on most questions. Found the MCQ difficult. Failed with a 65.
I need advice as to how to proceed. To say that I’m embarrassed would be an understatement, as all of my family and friends knew that I was taking this time to study and I did put a ton of time/effort into it. FAR is scheduled for Oct but I feel less confident with this material than I have for any of the others and now after hearing of my failures feel like there is no way I will pass. Part of me wants to retake REG and AUD (and put FAR on hold) though with the long score delay I have forgotten a lot of the material by now for the 2 parts anyway. The thought of spending another $500 on retakes and having a repeat experience of a 3 month wait for a score release only to see failures haunts me. Another part of me is saying that I may regret saving FAR for when I’m working. Any advice? Thank you.
