    Becker Question –

andddddd……I feel like a truck hit me.

I feel like I know about 10% of every section ::sigh::

Anyone else feel like this right before final review? My plan at this point is to finish up any remaining homework questions, then re-do them and do the progress tests and do the final exams a few days before. Also planning on a couple of days to work on SIMS.

Man, I just feel so overwhelmed with information. Just venting, I know only you guys understand how I feel.

Everyone else in my life is like “oh you’ve been studying for like five weeks now, you got it down!” little do they know lol

I don't know if my experience will help, but I spent a little over a month and a half on FAR. I wasn't working and probably put in over 200 hours of focused and unfocused study. The day before the exam I was really familiar with almost all of the topics. I felt pretty good about the exam after taking it and found out today that I passed with a 77.

I was surprised that over 200 hours =77 on the exam. I am not complaining but will say I am totally humbled by my first exam. I realize that you NEED TO KNOW YOUR SH*T to pass these exams.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

“I feel like I know about 10% of every section ::sigh::”

I took the exact opposite approach… I spent about 5 total days on Becker Chapters 8-10 (will never go into Gov or NP accounting anyways). Chapters 1-7 I knew like the back of my hand. Everyone has a different approach but I don't see a point in knowing 10% of everything, would rather know 75% of 75%.

    FAR: 84 on 4/4/13
    AUD: 91 on 7/27/13
    BEC: 72 on 11/11/13, 82 on 01/03/14
    REG: 80 on 02/27/14

@joel well I thought I knew more than that but it's been so long since I have gone over the other material. However thankfully I just did a progress test and I got around 65%, two chapters really stuck out as bad so at least I'm focusing in. I still have two weeks thankfully! 🙂
