Becker Question –

andddddd……I feel like a truck hit me.

I feel like I know about 10% of every section ::sigh::

Anyone else feel like this right before final review? My plan at this point is to finish up any remaining homework questions, then re-do them and do the progress tests and do the final exams a few days before. Also planning on a couple of days to work on SIMS.

Man, I just feel so overwhelmed with information. Just venting, I know only you guys understand how I feel.

Everyone else in my life is like “oh you’ve been studying for like five weeks now, you got it down!” little do they know lol

Here is a little trick that helped me when I was using Becker during my final review(I only wish I did this sooner). Take every IFRS/GAAP summary that is in the Appendix of every chapter out from your book. Staple them together. Review frequently. This is the best summary of IFRS/GAAP material available in the Becker system and it will be so helpful to have it in a condensed format were you can review it frequently. I could of learned the material so much quicker by referring to these amazing pages every night before I went to bed. To clarify this will allow you to read through the major rules for both GAAP and IFRS for all chapters in a 20 minute period. Good Luck!

@Study, I literally just did that yesterday. Actually did that with all of my Becker book, and pulled out pages that I deemed beneficial to final review. Things like liquidity ratios, the cash flow summary's.

@Tough hey! it's tough studying in Hawaii LOL, Every day I have to look out my window and it's 80 and people are walking down to the beach with their surfboard and I'm stuck at my desk with my red bull and Peter Olinto. LoL 🙂 JK, I am SO blessed and I love living here so much. When I was living back in NYC and we had the chance to move here, I said to myself…

Hey I could be studying in NYC freezing my butt off or warm and on a beach in Hawaii 😉

Also, not sure if you guys have noticed the outlines on the Becker program. if you are in one of the chapters, where you can choose to view lectures, complete homework, or review flashcards, there is a tab above labeled “Outlines.” I highly recommend printing those out for your quick review of the chapters. Its definitely a condensed version of the chapter, but provides you with great information, especially when you are doing your review.

@CPAattheBeach…I wish I could be there in Hawaii…I had the option to transfer to Hawaii last year before I started my CPA journey, but my wife and I decided to stay put here in northern Virginia. I find it easier to study, because the weather has been soooo colllllddd and I don't want to go outside!

@kkimi I totally understand, it is tough when I sit here staring out my window. However I do NOT miss the cold at ALL. 🙂

Oh and good call on the outline's, I have printed all of those out. I also found some great review notes online, as well as the NINJA notes. Figure I can use as much help as I can.

Alright, I am not seeing these “Outlines” on my 2012 FAR Becker. I tried to compare it with my AUD software which I bought early in 2013, there I saw “Outlines” on the upper right side of the page. Bummer!

Hopefully with the help of my 2013 Becker Final Review Book in PDF and 10-Point NINJA Combo Set which is always updated and fresh, I would not be that outdated with my review/studies with FAR.
