So recently my Becker PassMaster software expired and I tried to redeem the Becker Promise only to find that the offer had expired a couple weeks ago and even with the former student rate (50%) off, Becker costs too much for me at the moment. So I was considering using the Becker FAR book along with Wiley Test Bank and maybe the Ninja notes too. Does anyone have any good experiences using the Becker book along with Wiley or any other test prep? Any suggestions would be great. I’m just trying to find additional material besides the Becker book that won’t be too costly.

Hi David,

The same thing actually happened to me with my Becker software. It expired in January and I had FAR left to take. I used the 2011 Becker FAR book and I bought the 10 point combo (NINJA notes, flashcards, audio and the Wiley Test Bank) and I passed! So I think you should be fine using your Becker book and the Wiley Test Bank. I found the Wiley questions to be more similar to the actual CPA exam questions. Good luck!

I didn't realize that the Becker Promise expired until I saw this post and looked up the details of the terms and see its only valid for 365 days after completing the applicable section. That doesn't make sense for online and selfstudy courses!!! You wouldn't need to use it until after your software expires which is 18 months, how bogus!!!!! There goes my plan for using it when I start studying for my retake of REG in August. At least I know now so I can set a new plan before hand smh.
