FAR in a week – What Becker Chapters/topics to focus on?

    Hey everyone, I’m trying to maximize my study time for the next 9 days. What 3 topics or Becker Chapters should I focus on?

    Everything, but put more emphasis on GNFP and IFRS…IFRS intangibles sounds good too.

    Funny CPAterminator that you mention IFRS intangibles. I could have used your advice before I took my exam. It just felt so out of the blue, I was hoping it was a pretest.

    Definitely, most definitely GNFP. IMO, cash flows for GASB and FASB. It will save you.

    REG - 80 (Becker only)
    BEC - 76 (Becker only)
    AUD - 71, 76 (Becker only)
    FAR - 65, 74, 81! (Becker, Wiley Test Bank, Ninja notes & Audio)

    It sounds very obvious, but your weakest areas. For most people (including me) that was gov/NFP. I wouldn't stress too much about IFRS since I think they're still only peppering in IFRS questions. Know the main differences (intangibles, R&D treatment, statement of cash flow treatments etc) but don't get caught up in the nitty-gritty, especially if there are other areas you are weak in.     Bonds, bonds bonds! I hate bonds! My last FAR exam had a lot on bonds and I think that is the main reason that my score went down. I hope I don't get that many when I take it the 3rd time.

    REG- 74, 83
    BEC- 81
    ETHICS- 90

    Try to make BIG focus on the most important parts in each chapter. Work out many problems as I believe that FAR and REG especially need more work on MCQ and sim rather than BEC and AUDIT.
