Hi all,

Have any of you tried Becker Final Review Course? I purchased it at a discount but have not been able to start the program yet. I worked all the MCQ in Becker but barely touched the SIMS. I just finished re-reading the Becker FAR book today and took notes on each chapter while doing Progress Tests here and there. I plan on taking my first practice exam early tomorrow morning and then hammering through the Final Review Course. How long does it usually take to complete?

Keep in mind that I am studying full time thus don’t have any distractions.

Not feeling too comfortable with the material yet since there is SO MUCH of it. Hope the extra review will help.

For my first exam I made the mistake of not practicing the SIMS. On a test that I 100% should have passed, I got my world rocked because the SIM questions were so overwhelming. Please, please please, right now, stop what you are doing and work the SIMS for your review. I know they suck but they give you a more comprehensive understanding of the material and will help you not get so thrown off by their questioning. People try and say that there's no point because the formatting of them can be so different, but they are so wrong!

Definitely get a practice test in there as well. The more you can simulate the testing scenario the better. I always put them off because I keep wanting to get a better handle on my problem areas, but it's better to just take the plunge and do it. Also, don't be terrified by your practice test score. The real exam will be curved. Good luck! I'm sitting for FAR (hopefully my last test) on Friday so I'm right there with you in review, freak out mode.

Thank you so much and good luck to you as well! I am definitely going to practice doing some SIMS. The Becker Final Review course has about 5 sets os SIMS each with 7 problems which are all mixed and matched with different topics. That's sort of the reason I pushed it off till now but hopefully it will be enough!
