Hi All – I am taking FAR on 1/4/16 and I just finished my first practice exam before I start some in-depth reviewing after Christmas. This is my first CPA exam so I do not know how to feel about my knowledge and practice test scores.

    First Practice Test – MCQ 63 | 57 | 73 SIMs 75|74|25|100|95|62|75

I was happy with the SIMs scores because I haven’t done a single SIM during the homeworks. Although, I heard Becker’s SIMs are easy compared to the actual exam. I wasn’t happy with my MC scores because I’ve been practicing MCQs a ton and feel like I should have done better. It’s so hard to focus for 4 straight hours!

Any feedback on these scores would be greatly appreciated. What should I aim for on the second practice test to secure a passing score on the exam? : /

Looking forward to a few days off from intense studying for Xmas and just doing flashcards. Happy Holidays All!!

    FAR - 85 (01/2016)
    BEC - 88 (05/2016)
    AUD - 09/2016
REG - plan to take in 11/2016 or 01/2017

I know there's a topic for this somewhere, but I think people generally do around 12-15 points better on their actual exams compared to the Becker practice exams, so it seems like you're in decent shape.

    FAR: May 1st, 2014 - 91
    AUD: May 29th, 2014 - 97!
    BEC: July 16th, 2014 - 91
    REG: August 29th, 2014 - 88

The sims on the Becker practice exam were a JOKE compared to my real exam. I got like 100s on most of the Becker practice exam sims and finished 45 minutes early. On the real exam, my sims were in hieroglyphics and I was still scrambling to fill in the blank boxes with guess up until I got timed out.

The MCQs timing wise/difficultly wise were pretty on par with the real thing. Except the real exam had a not more quickly answerable either you know it or you don't question. But I felt like the MCQs were fair and I was well prepared.

On the MCQ Becker final exams I got:

    Exam 1: 80, 67, 73
    Exam 2: 76, 76, 76 (weird…)

And then I got an 83 on the real thing even though the sims totally sucked. So I'm sure you will be fine with some more reviewing! Good luck

    AUD: 98
    REG: 91
    BEC: 86
    FAR: 83

DONE DONE DONE and DONE all on the first try! It IS possible, just keep on studying!

For Aud Reg and Far Becker's 2 final exam, i have scored 50's, yet i passed all three exams. Becker probably hand chooses the hardest question your likely to face from every topic evenly. BUT!! if you have taken any of the exams you know that they might test like 5 or 6 from the same topic, they cant give you that level of difficulty for each question. So to sum my point, dont stress the practice is harder then the actual exam.

    FAR-76 First attempt.
    AUD-79 First attempt.
    REG-79 First attempt.
    BEC-79 First attempt.

    Done!
