    A book might be easier to get through as English is your second language, but lectures might be good for specific explanations. also, make sure you read the MCQ explanations-those help quite a bit.

    SIMS are a must, but if you read the book, do MCQ and related SIMS (leave those for after you have gone through all the material) then yes-should be enough. make sure you take notes as you read the book. This may take longer, but there is no point in rushing, and not passing on the first shot. Maybe listen to videos? Or get Ninja audio and listen to that-it distills the most useful information and you can listen to it over and over again.

    Basically the Becker book itself highlights areas of focus, as will the questions and SIMs. Everyone learns differently…I usually didn't find the videos that helpful and preferred reading the material. BUT…to get the Becker guarantee, you have to watch the videos. If that's relevant.

    As someone who felt less academically prepared…I'll tell you ahead of time:

    FAR is intimidating. It's normal to feel overwhelmed and useless. You have to fight through that and keep plugging away until it makes sense. I spent 60 hours a week studying for the first 5 sections.

    @Hisham-yes, FAR is the worst of them, give yourself time, and just prepared-it's going to suck. Don't worry about knowing things in depth-focus on what Becker is telling you to know. I hate to say it-know everything they are putting out there well enough. Focus on topics that are marked “analysis” and “application” in the AICPA blueprint…. But just follow the review course outline, you should be fine:)

    @aaronmo

    60 hours? impressive. i assume you were not working. im doing 6 hours per day since im not working. so around 42 hours per week. but im not practicing any problems yet. i will have a month to practice all problems, might shoot for 55 hours that last month of review.
