    Becker Question –

I’m taking my FAR exam on 8/31 – And I still seem to be slowly working my way through all of the homework questions.

I actually counted today and including the “optional questions” there are 1,879 questions.

In all honesty – How can people possibly get through all of these and then still have time to go through them a second time? I’m not sure the best way to proceed in these final 3 weeks.

    Any advice?

I passed BEC & AUD by just doing the HW over and over and over, but with FAR there are way too many questions.

Guess we're all in the same boat, but i abandoned my Becker questions during home study and started on the Wiley MCQs. Those Becker questions are so hard to get through! I still do the Becker questions during the day since WTB doesn't work all the time on my work computer. I'm trying to amp up my studying by getting up at 4:30 every weekday and 5:30 on the weekends to study. Also have half a day off today, 1 day off coming up soon and will probably take another day off as well. I've probably put in about 60 of study, which includes the lectures. But it does not include listening to the audio and reading the notes on my home from work.

We've got two full weekends left! Plan to get in 20 hours each weekend. Try to get in 3-4 hours during the weekdays if you work. We can definitely do this. I'm not giving up and neither should anyone else. Good luck everyone!

I dont know if I should say this or not because it may end up hurting a few folks. I stop working all the problems once ive gotten a good handle on them. only did 47% of questions in F4.

Edit: Not to say that I dont work the problems. I do. I dedicate like half of my time to working the problems and I go slow. step by step so that I know what im doing and why im getting what im getting wrong.

@ReadytoPasstheCPA – I wish I could tell you how much time I've spent, but honestly I have no idea… Sometimes I see people post that they've spent X number of hours on a section, and I'm like, how the he!! do they know that?!

I didn't do the homework in the Roger CPA review book but rather focused on answering the questions in my CPA review program. I also used the Wiley test bank over the last few weeks.

Exam on 8/28 and only through F5 homework. Reviewing F6 now…I wish I could dedicate to studying full time, but I do have a few more days over the next 2 weeks I took off from work to srudy in addition to two weekends left. I hope its enough.

I am in a similar boat. I take FAR on 8/30 and I am just now starting F7. Not sure how this happened, but I let myself fall behind after passing BEC 2 months ago. I find it really hard to jump into a entire new book after finally completing and conquering one exam.

FAR is extremely intense. I found that BEC was a LOT easier for me to comprehend, and the MCQs for BEC did not take me nearly as long as the FAR MCQs. I am trying my best to keep trucking, but it seems as if I have lost all motivation! I am not sure how I am going to finish all of these MCQs with enough time to go back and review, AND practice the SIMS.

At least we are not alone. Good luck to all of you! Keep trucking! At least we can say we did our best. And always remember, these exams are NOT easy! Don't get discouraged if you do not pass, especially on your first try. These exams are supposed to be difficult! BUT, we can all do it if we want it bad enough!

I did Becker FastPass in May, so I only studied for 18 days (including the FastPass classes) before taking the exam on 5/31. Get through the lectures/homework once and if you're really crunched for time, omit the optional questions on your first pass. The FAR questions take an eternity. Clearly, I didn't have enough time to go through all the HW questions a second time. Do as many progress tests as you can and really hone in on the topics your struggling with. Questions, questions, questions. Take the final exams and review them thoroughly and go back and hit the topics you're struggling with. You can do it!

    FAR - 5/31/13 - 85
    REG - 7/8/13 - 87
BEC - 8/1/13 - 85 (Part of the shady server upgrade fiasco)
    AUD - 8/28/13 - (Waiting)

Just wanted to re-connect and see how everyone is doing. I know there were a hand-full of people taking FAR soon and its the last section to pass and we all put off studying to the last minute. I am starting F9 tonight and going to try to start my review on Sunday afternoon. Good Luck.

    AUD 73 (Aug 12) 77
    BEC 66 71 (Nov 12) 80
    REG 54 81 (May 13) 81
    FAR 63 (Dec 13) 75 TEXAS
