    Here is my scenario:

    I’m planning to start studying for FAR on April 1st. The test is scheduled for May 1st. I can put in *at least* 40 hours every week. I will be using Becker online.

    I understand that there are several factors that have to be considered to understand if this is possible or not – like my ability to learn. But do you think this is doable?

    I would really appreciate any tips/suggestions on how I can accomplish this.

    @CPA2BEE – I'm using the same approach as you… I can't study more than 15-20 hours a week so in total I will allocate about 3.5 months to studying FAR. I only have 1 section left (consolidations) and then I'm going to hammer MCQs til April 29. Did you forget a lot of stuff you studied earlier? That's my concern that I will have to spend too much time circling back to review, but I'm hoping that since I took my time to have some basic understanding I won't get stuck on a topic.

    FAR - 54, Sept 8

    Thank you all for sharing your thoughts! So after considering several factors, I've moved my exam to June 4th.

    Here are some of my reasons –
    * FAR is vast
    * This is my first CPA exam. So even if I find the material manageable, I most probably would take a while to see what works for me and what doesnt – the studying methods, the time I take and such.
    * I can afford to spend this time right now.
    * I'm gonna go be taking advanced accounting class through May which would most probably help me with FAR. If not the material, at least I can clarify my questions with the professor. Fingers crossed.

    On a different note, I've deactivated Facebook but another71.com is like its replacement these days. A much better and useful replacement. 🙂

    Again, thank you all
