    I just did a Becker practice exam and got only 69% correct for REG. Most of my wrong answers were just things I haven’t really memorized or remembered regarding business law and estates. Does the % correct out of the multiple choice correlate to how well I would do on the real exam, which is tomorrow?

    REG: 73 73 79
    AUD: 64 64
    BEC: 11/30

    I go with no. The Becker exam grades much “harder” than the actual exam. Meaning, it doesn't account for any curve (that AICPA likes to deny exists). When I took REG I guessed on plenty of stuff. There's no way I got a perfect score without some “helpful curve”.

    AUD - 92 :: REG - 99 :: FAR - 92 :: BEC - 82

    I think the general consensus is that Becker practice exams are more difficult that the actual exam. For what it's worth, I scored right around 70% in both of the REG Becker practice exams. Try not to get too hung up on the practice exam score (I know that's easier said than done) because it's really just a tool to give you more exposure to MCQs and may help identify areas you should take one more quick look at before you sit for the exam.

    FAR - 81
    AUD - 91
    REG - 85
    BEC - 80

    Ok cool. I took the practice exam and got about 65% correct on the MC and about 75-80% correct on the sims. One thing I noticed is that most of my wrong answers were regarding business law questions (agency/bankruptcy/secured transactions) and the estate tax, so I'm gonna work on those. Is it realistic to get a simulation on the estate tax or are they usually on individuals, corps, and partnerships, etc.?

    Also, if one gets 75% of the MC correct on the CPA exam, is this generally how the MC's will be scored, or are they weighed based on how hard/easy the question is? I heard once that for each question you get right, the next question is harder, but when I took the practice exam, it seems like all the MC are already determined…

    It correlates. Just what are we saying is the confidence interval of it…

    You're fine if you're about 70% though.

    I took both Becker Final Exams and did horrible on the first one (50's) and ok on the secong (70's) and got an 89 on the actual exam on 11/12. You'll do great!

    AUD (11) & FAR (10) = 89
    BEC (10) & REG (11) = 78
    Ethics here I come!
    I am a CPA!
