While I enjoy a “gimme” from time to time from Becker… their BEC homework is filled with repeated questions from the chapter, repeated questions from other sections and repeats from the same section.

I was actually insulted in B-5 when there was a Weighted Avg Equiv Units question that involved calculating what the direct labor was, then the very next question every thing was the same except they replaced the word Labor with Material. Same answer and everything.

Plus there are a lot of questions that say “we don’t mention this in the text but we hope the candidate would deduce the correct answer.” While I appreciate practicing unknowns… it seems more of a CYA on their part to say “hey, we prepared you for everything.”

I never thought I’d say it, but Becker got real lazy on this one! I hope my Yaeger CRAM makes up for what I’m missing with BEC from Becker. The least they could have done on this question was change a few numbers.

I was really confused when I studied BEC with Becker.. but I did what they said and passed.. however I feel it was pure luck.. I was confused when I walked in the exam and when I walked out.. I heard advice to use the Yaeger Cram.. Let me know how it goes for you!
