Did anyone pass AUD using only Becker homework questions?

I’m studying for AUD now and heard from others that using Becker homework questions is not sufficient for AUD. Becker did a good job covering FAR and BEC but I’m a little nervous about AUD being Becker is my sole study material.

Has anyone passed AUD within the last 18 months studying only Becker’s multiple choice questions?

I passed AUD with Becker. Got my highest grade in AUD. I read the book three times and did all of the MCQ and sims. The key to AUD is to know the process. It is all about process. If you understand the process then you should be fine. And Becker did an excellent job in AUD. Wish I had as much confidence in their BEC.

Thanks Jms. I meant pass solely by studying multiple choice questions and no books. I did so with FAR and think with BEC but not sure if I could do it with AUD.

I got my highest grade in AUD – only used the book to highlight throughout the lectures. The rest of it was MCQ/ sims. I didn't use any other supplements…in fact, I'm pretty sure my Becker flashcards are still in the plastic wrap they came in!

I only used Becker and was disappointed with my score. I know 80 sounds decent, but I felt there was so much that was skipped in Becker, so for FAR & BEC I supplemented with NINJA MCQs. Becker’s questions were too long and twisted. The actual exam had much simpler sentence structure. I wasted precious study time listening to Tim Gearty who should *not* be teaching AUD.

    AUD: Feb 29/16: 80
    FAR: Jun 10/16: 80

I got a solid 90% with only becker hw questions. To me, it is whatever material works for you and how comfortable you are with the subject. I go on occasional audits (work mainly in tax) so I was comfortable with the process for an audit. Becker is, IMO, more than enough. I only think supplemental materials are needed if you really struggle with the material and fear that you will start to memorize the answers. I used only becker mcq for far and reg so far and have been successful. I heard this saying before but it is so true, review courses are like diets, they will work if you stick to it. I only believe in “supplementing” when you feel like you aren't working out problems and simply memorizing the answer.

I used only Becker for all four sections. I felt the least prepared for AUD on both of my tests. To me Becker only covered about 75% of the material being tested for AUD whereas the other sections were fully covered.

First go at the CPA! Only using Becker
    Reg / Nov 2015 - 87
    Far / Apr 2016 - 79
    Bec / May 2016 - 80
    Aud / Aug 2016

I used becker only for Audit as well. For audit I felt like I was totally prepared in the weeks before the test and then barely passed, so even though I passed I would maybe recommend something else to supplement Becker. I don't really know what to recommend though.

    FAR 04/11/2016 - 84
    AUD 05/12/2016 - 79
    BEC 07/06/2016 - 81
    REG 08/29/2016

It'll be difficult to do so with AUD since it is ALL conceptual. If you're able to pass with studying only MCQ, more power to you. I'm personally much heavier on lecture/reading/review than I am on MCQ, and thought that Becker was excellent in that regard for AUD.

    F - 91 (6/5/2016)
    A - 7/30/2016
    R - 10/8/2016
    B - 12/10/2016

All the comments were extremely helpful. After wrapping FAR and BEC, studying for AUD is a treat. My brain doesn't hurt at the end of the day. I'm not underestimating the exam but just stating not too much thinking for this section. My focus is to take my time and read everything thoroughly. I really hope I can pass with 140 hours of studying for 5 weeks. I am hopeful that Becker is enough but need one pass at all the homework questions before I could determine if the material is sufficient. I'm afraid adding supplement will end up to be a waste of time or that time could've been used better to go over beckers homework.

My first go at AUD was the only test I ever walked out knowing I passed it.. Felt like it hit the things I knew well… And I failed it with a 74… Took again, felt like I completely bombed it and passed…

I thought Becker was strong on audit and didn't use anything else. I found REG and BEC weakest because they didn't divide chapters in a way that made sense to me at times.

Aaron, that's really good to know. I've seen Wiley and Roger and have to say Becker by far is the most helpful. It's expensive but you pay for what you get most of the time. I hope I can pass AUD with only Becker.

Interesting enough AUD has one of the lowest passing rate but I noticed the members here usually score highest on AUD. I didn't think it was possible to get higher than a 95+ until I saw 99s. Not sure what to make of it.

^ Dont believe everything you read. A 99 means 100% correct. Just my 2 cents.

4928: I do often wonder if some of the responses here are from employees of the Material providers. Especially ones that have extremely high scores and already passed all four sections. I try to take everything I read with a grain of salt so I don't make unrealistic expectations for myself.
