Hi all,

I recently obtained the 2011 Becker flashcards for free. Checking Becker’s update page, they have moved on to updating 2012 material for 2013.

Are the flash cards basic enough to where there is no risk in using them (as a supplement to Yaegar, etc) for exams in November 2012/ January 2013? I have BEC in November 2012 and REG in January 2013

Any thoughts/opinions are appreciated!

2011 materials were written in 2010 … I wouldn't use them.

I used the 2011 flashcards….

Honestly, they should be 90% ok to use. If you go to the Becker website it will tell you what the updates are and you can edit or pull out cards that don't apply. I know for sure the conceptual framework cards in FAR need to be updated so as long as you put the time in to update them you should be ok. I wouldn't use them “as is” until you do that though.

I don't see why you couldn't use them. Besides the changes in AUD, the other sections haven't really changed. Check for updates on their site and you should be good.

I would use them, when i was taking exams, i was using 2-3 yrs old flash cards.

90% of the stuff is still the same. I would stay away from thresholds and numbers though, they are changed for inflation etc, and we are not tested on it anyways.

Contracts/ sales, etc and all of the theory has stayed the same for years….

Those cards still contain SFAC 2 info for FAR

Business Structures is still on BEC … it's on REG now
