1. I have the 2011 edition Becker CPA software. Do I need to get the 2012 becker materials if I am planning on taking BEC/REG later this year? or will my 2011 edition materials be ok.

2. I still have time on my software, but if in the event it expires and I’m not done taking tests, is there a way to get an extension on it?

I’ve looked on Becker’s website for a good hour and did not see anything relating to those questions above.

1. You're 2011 materials should be fine since there were no exam changes as of July 2011. You might want to check the becker website for the 2012 tax updates for REG though.

2. When you're license expires, you can call Becker customer service and get a discount on renewing.
