My deadline for meeting the Becker Promise is quickly approaching, but I’m not doing the homework fast enough. It takes a while to get through the material, so I can understand it. I’m afraid of not meeting the deadline.

Has anyone just gone through the software, written down the correct answers, then entered them, so the software will register that it’s done, in order to get the Becker Promise?

I know that’s bending the rules, but I’m still doing the work – just not as fast as they want me to.

    Has anyone done that?

Or, has anyone had problems getting Becker to honor the promise?

Just wondering if they can be difficult in granting the promise, or if it’s pretty easy, as long as the homework shows that it’s done in the software?

I can quickly go through and enter the answers, but the timer will show that it only took 2 minutes to answer 50 or so questions. That might raise a red flag. Ha!!

When you say dedicated instructor, you're not referring to Olinto and co.? But somebody specifically assigned to one's section/group?

I've been using Becker self-study. REG was the first section I took and I followed that study schedule religiously! I finished the lectures and got 100% on all of the questions because I did them until I got all of them right. I got a 74. I had a lot of questions over what Becker referred to as “ancillary.” They said read it once, answer the questions, and focus on the bigger topics. That is what I did, and I wasn't tested over the “bigger topics,” so I failed. I'm still pretty upset about it. When I contacted Becker about their promise, I was told that I wouldn't have to pay the $90 tuition fee, however, I would have to pay the registration fee and buy new materials. The total was close to $300. If that is really the case, I don't think their promise is worth it. I have to retake the exam, and pay almost $200 for it. I'll just use the materials I already have, or switch to something else.
