    Hi all,

I’m trying to save some $ on study materials and saw some Becker flashcards and other items for sale regarding BEC. But, the materials were dated before 2012. In your opinion, how far back can I purchase BEC materials and be ‘safe’?

    REG - 89, 04/29/13
    BEC - 81, 08/06/13
    FAR - 84, 12/19/13
    AUD - 82, 10/05/13

Saving money on study materials, especially from 2009, will probably lead to very expensive tests. Do yourself a favor and invest in something newer.

Remember time wasted studying and $250-$300 per time you sit adds up fast!

    BEC-75!
    AUD-84!
    REG-78!
    FAR-83!
    Ethics-Passed!
    Experience-Got that too

    Used Becker 2013 Self-Study & NINJA 10pt Combo Lite(AUD)

Thanks for the input. Are there any other opinions out there? In your opinion, how far back can I purchase BEC materials and be ‘safe'?

There are affordable 2013 options out there. There really isn't any reason to buy old materials.

With all the time spent into this exam I wouldn't recommend it. It's not worth the $s you'd save.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm looking forward to hearing from some folks that used older BEC materials as well. I've seen people do this for other parts with success so curious to know who tried it for BEC, how old was their study materials, etc.

I don't recommend it. I don't think you'll find many people that have used 4 year old study materials.

I passed BEC in 2009 then lost credit. I just took it a week and a half ago and my test this year was completely different from my test in 2009. The content has changed between 2009 and now, so your old materials won't even cover some of the topics on the exam now.

It's not worth using old materials. You certainly don't have to drop the money on Becker, but you should be looking for something newer.
