Which of these is best for REG? I have heard from Becker users who took the exam that they found many questions not covered by becker. Wiley users: Did you feel the same thing? Please share your experience?

Wiley Study Guide (used it for questions and if I needed detailed information) + Roger Cram Course => me finally passing REG

Wiley is so in-depth that it can be a tad overwhelming but Cram Course put it all in glorious perspective.

Good luck and keep at it!

Was Roger Cram really helped out? Does it include the book and video?

    Thanks

I swear would not have passed REG without that Cram Course. It was my last exam to pass and on the fourth try I finally scored a 78. This is after one of my attempts earned me a score below 50.

Roger is energetic, enthusiatic, and great at making things stick in your head. It's always great when the instructor is someone who doesn't put you to sleep.

The Cram Course for REG is 8 hours of online lectures and includes the Cram booklet that contains lecture outlines.

Wiley user: Did you feel good about Wiley review course? Did you get many questions in the exam that were not covered by Wiley?

I've used the Wiley books for all exams. It was great for AUD and FAR (hopefully for BEC too!), but fell very short of my expectations for REG. You can see that reflected in the large drop in my REG score. Wiley just includes too much without emphasising what's truly importmant. I spent my time trying to understand and memorize everything. Of course that's impossible so I ended up knowing very little about a lot of things.

Much of the material covered in the book was not on the exam, but there were also MCQ exam questions on topics that Wiley never even mentioned. Hope this helps!

    AUD - 95
    FAR - 92
    REG - 79
    BEC - 93 DONE!

I think you're asking me. In case you are not asking me, please excuse my nonsensical ramblings.

The Wiley review course is extremely comprehensive. If you can do the Wiley questions, you can do the exam questions. However, the review course is so…comprehensive that it can be a chore to sift through the information and organize it in a way that makes sense.

@Thehonestman, I too have the Wiley books, and now the test bank and NINJA notes, how did you approach the REG exam? Or how would you suggest?

There seems to be so much information in the books, especially compared to the notes, and I just don't know how to even study. I have taken Tax I & II within the past couple years and still remember some.

I also didn't realize that with the notes you should be taking the video courses as well (which i can not afford), did you use the NINJA notes? Was the book strategy enough for you?

I recently took REG using Becker and out of the 72 MC questions I had, all 72 of them I knew were covered one way or another in my review materials. Did I get all of those questions right? No, but I walked out of the testing center thinking the exam was fair based on my preparation with Becker. As it turns out, I passed with an 85 and was happy with my score.

On the other hand, for FAR and AUD, there were definitely 2-3 questions per testlet which I'm pretty sure were not covered in Becker's review materials. So take that for what it's worth.
