    Hello,

I have used the Becker program in the past but have not had any success with passing any section that I sat for. In my opinion I found the Becker lectures to be boring, the Mc ?s useful, while the simulation help was good for some parts (BEC) and horrible for others (AUD). Sometimes I felt that I was not motivated to study at all but after taking a break from the exams I am looking to really focus and get through them. I have heard great things about Roger CPA program and for half the price of Becker it seems worth it. I know Rogers videos are up tempo but I have heard people saying that the questions and study planner are a bit confusing. Can anyone please post which program they haved used and just give some basic information as I would like to make a decision on which program to buy so I can pass these tests and finally get my license.

    Thanks for the help.

@GoGatorsCPA and @Giants13, I cant verify this as I have not received my materials yet but I did speak to someone from Roger CPA a few months ago and he told me they would no longer be using the Wiley TB. I have noticed that every section of Roger's book now has the class questions he goes over in the videos + about 20-30 “study questions” for self-study (I have no idea if those were there or were not there before). The links for the Wiley TB are still in the online course and I do still see it mentioned throughout so that employee could have gotten that wrong. I will update you on what is included once everything arrives on 12/24. Was going to arrive 12/23 but UPS emailed me they have some issues unloading the truck?? lol

@chinchilled When you say Roger will no longer be using “Wiley TB,” are you referring to Wiley's textbook or test bank? If they won't be using the test bank any longer, is Roger going to come up with his own questions for his review course?

But please do update us on what you receive! I would greatly appreciate it.

I emailed my contact at Roger and they said that they still use the Test Bank in the program, but not the Wiley book for 2014.

I received my Roger 2014 materials this week. They included 4 Roger books and a CD/PIN code for the Wiley Test Bank (in addition to the online videos). I can confirm that the Wiley Textbooks are no long included in his package.

    We'll see how it goes!

@Jeff — Would you mind asking your contact how the material/content in Roger's textbooks have changed? Will his textbook be overloaded with information like in Wiley's books (and possibly even Becker's books)?

As I stated in another thread, I liked how Roger's books were short and easy to follow. I would hate for it to be so packed with material, with this new change, that it would be a pain to get through.

Since you're considering purchasing it, it would be better for you to contact them so that you know what you're getting.

@ignoreit. I have the Wiley Audit book and the new RogerCPA 2014 one and they are of similar size but the text in the 2014 RogerCPA books is bigger. So yeah no more condensed type Roger books.

Just to post an update. I did receive my 2014 Roger materials last night as well. Received the 4 books and a Wiley Test Bank 2013 CD with PIN for what I assume to be online access. The books are pretty thick (particularly FAR, UGH) ..as far as to how much bigger and less condensed they are now compared to what they used to be I can't really speak on that as I do not have the old ones, but I have had the course since November and the online versions from the 2013 course seemed to be similar in length. He does have “self-study” review questions in the book alongside class questions, I am not sure if he has always had the self-study questions, from what I remember it used to be just the class questions that he'd go over in the lectures.
