Does anyone feel like cpaexcel takes a long time to go through the material?

For cpaexcel you have to watch the lecture then read the book. Becker covers the book with you during the lecture, so doe Becker take considerably less time to study with?

I like the Yaeger videos so far, even though there's 40 hours worth for FAR! I like seeing questions done step by step and explained, so Yaeger is good for me. I usually take notes during the videos, then when a MCQ is about to be shown on the video, I do that MCQ then watch the video to see if I did it right. I supplement with the Ninja notes/audio/flashcards and Wiley test bank as well.

Definitely isn't the fastest way to study, but seeing MCQs done in action is the best way for me to learn, I think.

There is a lot of info on cpaexcel… I tend to have my NINJA notes in front of me, and as I go through the slides/study text. If I feel like I need more info on a topic that are in the NINJA notes, I'll add to them. Then I work the PQs/EQs. Especially since some things will show up in the EQs that aren't quite as well covered in the text. Add more to notes as needed. I'm about 8hrs in and 10% done… so not too bad in my opinion.

My plan from there is to go back and do the diagnostic questions, as well as WTB for practice. Identify where I struggle, and hit those areas again.

I have separate notes for all the formulas and journal entries.

Constant review is done through the NINJA notecards. I figured out on my phone how to make more, so I can add in other concepts I'm weak on (and make cards for the formulas and entries).

I haven't sat for a test yet… so fingers crossed this method works!

FAR - 73, rematch in early April

I did not care for the functionality ( or lack of functionality ) of their SIMS. I have initiated a refund. I agree that they have a lot of material. I would rather over prepare at this point in time.
