Becker users – Your thoughts on B6?

    Becker Question –

    I am running out of time … Should I let this chapter go, revise it quickly, or take time with it? I can’t recall if I seen any the B6 info on my last exam. I would like to focus on B1-4 for the next few days otherwise …

    Thanks for any input!

    Interested to see what others say as I have posted this in the study group but gotten no responses. As for myself, I have done the MCQ in B6 several times and am general comfortable with the topics with the exception of Financial Valuation (this is a very small section that covers things like zero growth model, constant growth model, PEG ratio). I just can't make these concepts stick (maybe because there are only 6 MCQ on them) so I am cutting my losses and focusing on bigger fish.

    Also wanted to add that when I say I feel ‘comfortable' with the topics, I am comfortable with the big picture. The MCQ do not go into details and therefore neither did I.

    In answer to your question, if you are short on time I would go over the sub-sections with the most MCQ…I think one is risk management? I wouldn't worry about the smaller section (e.g., Internal Audit).

    B6 reminds me of F10 in FAR – the longest chapter with the least amount of questions. It is so frustrating to read a 15 page sub-section/watch the lecture and then only be asked like 5 questions on it. What a waste of time. I'm not too high on Becker for BEC. They need to overhaul it, especially B6. I think I'm digressing here…

    But yeah, I'd review the section with the most MCQs for B6 and bag the rest.

    I agree, SaveBandit. I don't like Becker for FAR either. I am most nervous about B4, I have heard numerous accounts of IT being heavily tested and Becker just doesn't do a great job with it. The lecture and questions are weird, I don't really know how to explain it.
