I’m studying for the CPA and I’m using Becker 2012 materials for 2013 tests…. Is this a bad idea? Should I just buy 2013?

You need new AUD if you plan on taking it after July 1

Supplement your 2012, with the Clarity changes summary. And contact NASBA to get access to the Standards (the link is on your NTS, when you register for exam you get six months access for free). There is a letter which basically summarizes some of the major changes. You will still need old SAS and Clarity because both will be part of the exam from July 1, 2013 until further notice from AICPA, probably end 2014. See Becker website. So my advise use the book if you don't have money but supplement. Read the audit study group, there are good tips offered by people studying on a tight budget. Get new ninja notes and Wiley test bank I recommend you buy the 1 year subscription for all 4 parts its cheaper than buying one part for 4 months access.
