FAR sims are going to test your principals knowledge as well as your ability to critically respond to questions while working calculations. I would practice “writing out” the Becker practice SIMS on paper as you study. This will be key in you performing well in the SIM area. Your ability to visualize the problem as opposed to just look at the screen and attempt to answer the question will directly impact your performance in this area. Furthermore, your memo (if they still make you write) will need to have a clear beginning (intro), middle (meat–direct and poignant), and end (conclusion). You will need to become very agile and nimble with respect to researching the literature. Use the “search within” function in order to quickly navigate the literature.
