Becker Sims — Not Storing Answers

Ok this isn’t a big deal, but just annoying… when I go to do my sims in Becker, it’s not storing my answers. If I go back to a question I already finished, all the slots are blank again. It’s frustrating because sometimes the sims refer to another sim and also, I’m annoyed that Becker never thinks I’m complete.. I like seeing green in my progress bars!! Arg.

Is this happening to anyone else? Is there a fix?

    FAR 7/3/13 - 82
    BEC 8/21/13 - 82
    AUD 10/2/13 - 92
    REG 12/3/13 - 88

Hmm, it's weird! I used Becker from Jan thru August 2013, never had this issue. Sims were stored even if completed partially and had to be cleared in order to run thru them second time.

sarita, I think we have the opposite problem: my simulations get marked complete if I merely look at them!

On a somewhat similar note, didn't Becker used to automatically grade it simulations? I could have sworn that when I completed my REG simulations, they would show a right/wrong answer; however, it seems the simulations I did for AUD/FAR would never get graded.

    REG - 93 (7/30/13)
    BEC - 90 (8/19/13)
    AUD - 98 (8/31/13)
    FAR - 84 (10/19/13)

I've been having the same issue since late summer. The only “fix” is to enter your answers, look at solution for each individual SIM, select exit solution (don't just close the box), then hit the next button to get to the next SIM. It's not foolproof, but I have much better luck with it storing the answers this way. I agree, supremely annoying!

I've actually gotten to the point where I write my answers on a sheet of paper, so I can just re-enter them quickly if necessary. I like green, too!

    Hi Sarita,

I had this problem, too (on sims and on final review exams, which was extremely frustrating since you're already stressed out, and just want to gauge your progress – I would do a whole final review exam and hit the exit key to move to the sims and it would act like I wasn't logged in and wouldn't store any answers). I called Becker and someone from tech support finally called me back AFTER I'd already taken FAR. Anyway, I ended up using the desktop version of Becker instead of using the online version and it resolved the problem. Not sure if you've been using the downloaded desktop version or online. Also, I have a macbook, and Becker still doesn't seem to work as well with Apple products as it does with Windows-based.

Hope you get it resolved and good luck!

    AUD - 80
    BEC - 85
    REG (7/31) - waiting
    FAR (10/2)

It took me all of REG and half of FAR to figure this out. On the SIMs that are not storing answers, are there multiple tabs? If you try to move on from a multi-tab sim when you've split the screen, it will erase your answers. You have to UNsplit the screen before moving on, and that should solve the problem.

    REG - 93 (Jul'13)
    FAR - 97 (Dec '13)
    AUD - 99 (May '14)
    BEC - Jul '14

I was having this problem too, but haven't recently. I noticed that you if exit “Split Pane” mode once you are done with the sim, it typically saves it. It's weird, but whenever I switched to just the Single Pane and moved on, it would save them. Hopefully this will help!
