I’ll be sitting for REG at the end of the month. I’ve taken FAR and failed with a 72. I know the SIM portion is what killed me on that one. I’ve also sat for BEC and passed, but no thanks to Becker. I hired an English tutor to help me prepare for the SIM portion. Has anyone found that Becker did a better job of preparing people for the REG simulations? Aside from the simulations, I really like Becker and the way the program is set up. Its just that I have found their practice simulations to be far easier than what is on the actual exam, which has not adequately prepared me.

Does anyone have any advice for those using Becker simulations? Are they enough to prepare for the exam or should I find another way to prepare for the simulations?

I have 28 days of studying left! Still lots of time to prepare!

I used becker and did stronger on MCQ and average on SIMS for REG. Now, that could be attributed to it being my first section I took. In auditing, I was stronger on MCQ and SIMS using becker.

If you understand the core concepts behind MCQ, you will be able to handle sims on the exams. Beckers sims are also designed on material which is heavily tested on exam. I prefer taking notes once I go over sims.

So far what I have learned from beckers is that what ever Tim highlights, make sure you get it. If you notice, even MCQ in pass-master will be mainly on the topic he emphasized.

I used Becker for all four parts…passed REG on the first try. FAR took some extra tries though…

Becker does OK for Reg sims but all the stuff that was covered lightly, I had to research on my own.

I guess they cover material to be most likely on the exam not all that could be on the exam. Hence the additional work some candidates do just to make sure.

Passed REG on my first try .. one of my sims was almost directly from the homework. But like others have said, if you get the core concepts, the sims aren't too bad.
