I started Reg and did my first chapter and feel like the video lectures were a complete waste of time. He flies through everything (compared to the old version for FAR). My idea is to just read but turn on the highlights/underlining in the online book so I can make sure I places emphasis on what he did and that I wrote the notes he did. I watched lectures for FAR and passes but this new version makes me feel like I’m wasting my time on lectures since he skips over so much. Any thoughts?

I would say do what you think is best. Honestly, I used Roger CPA, so I can't speak for Becker, but I didn't follow the “plan” to a T. Do what's best for your situation, only you can know how you learn best.

If you're tight on time, skip them. The lectures suck with Becker and that's my opinion. With that said, there are times where the lecture helps you but it's not often. “Highlight this, highlight that, write this down, do the example on your own time, oh here's a corny joke, now back to highlighting kids.”
