    Hi everyone,

I’ve been wondering about how people feel about the Becker self study lectures. I went through all of them for AUD (which I passed) and FAR (which I did not), and have been trying to decide if it’s worth bothering with them for BEC. I started reviewing for my re-take for FAR in Jan and found that I’m getting a lot more out of just reading and taking notes rather than watching the lectures. I absolutely hate the lectures too, as they are sooo long and don’t really explain too much more than I can get out of the book.

Has anyone just read the book and done MCQs and passed fine? I just don’t want to waste my time with something that doesn’t seem to be adding value. Since I’m taking BEC at the end of Feb, time management is important. Thanks for your help with this!

    AUD - 77!!!
    FAR - 71, 73, 72, 73, 77!!! DONE!
    BEC - 75!

Great…that's what I was thinking. I'm not getting much out of the lectures and was going to try a different approach. Thanks for your feedback!

If you take notes during the lecture you'll realize how much they're teaching you. Treat it like you're sitting in a real classroom.

    AUD: Attempt 1: 60; Attempt 2: 78
    BEC: Attempt 1: 75 (lost credit); Attempt 2: 80
    FAR: Attempt 1: 74; Attempt 2: 74; Attempt 3: 78
    REG: Attempt 1: 76 (lost credit); Attempt 2: 68; Attempt 3: 80

    Finished 11/01/2013!!!

I just started Becker on the 18th and I am wrapping up A2 tonight. From my experience, I also agree that watching the lectures are time consuming and really don't add much value. I did the MCQs right after watching the lectures and was scoring around the 60-65% range and I did them again after I read the lecture and scored a lot higher (85% and up; not sure if it was because of the reading or if because I already was familiar with the question and answer).

I am taking AUD sometime at the end of January or early February and wanted to ask you how did feel Becker prepared you for the exam compared to what was tested on the exam? My main concern is just being able to take the exam without feeling like I haven't actually studied the material.

AUD - Awaiting score, please be a pass!
    FAR - Apr 2014
    BEC - May 2014
    REG - July 2014
