    Becker – Question –

I am planning on taking REG in July. While watching the lectures and memorizing the flashcards.. do anyone knows if the flashcard is what is important stated by the lectures? or Do I have to go back and joint what is not listed on the flashcards.

any advice on how to study REG;…At this time I am studying/completing 2 Chapters a week and leaving myself 2 weeks for review before the exam….

Is this efficient? Also, I work full time and have child.

At this time, I give myself 1-2 hours M-Thursday and Friday – atleast 7-8 hours and Sat and Sunday atleast 5….

    Thanks,

I always added my own flashcards to cover additional material.

I think you can cover 2 chapters a week. Don't blow off the Business Law chapters, but don't sink an excessive amount of time into them either. Remember that the tax sections are a larger % of the exam.

Stay focused and you'll be ready!

great idea.. so I should compare what was not noted on the flash cards.. should I focus mainly on what Becker focus on the exam or do read through all the chapters?

Also, when you took the exam.. on the simulation how many written communication and tax form (or example) what to expect on the test..

is it possible first time doing the hw my average grade is 60-80's somethings?? I dont expect to be perfect correct?

I am planning on doing the homework again for review.. will becker let you go back?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm assuming you're using self-study. I (1) watch the videos, (2) take notes &/or make additional flashcards, (3) do MC. When I take notes/add flashcards, I do go page by page through the text. This is the last time I skim through the book, unless I need to reference a section I'm struggling with later.

You'll have 1 written communication per simulation. There's no way of knowing what it'll be like. It could even touch on something from a different test. Just be sure to proof what you've written. Write something logical, even if you don't know the answer. The only real way to prepare for this is by learning the material the best you can.

Yes, my averages on MC the first time through were usually in the high 60s/ low 70s. Once you've done a couple of chapters, then try a progress/simulated exam (the buttons for these are at the bottom of the main Becker screen in the middle). You can select which chapters you want to include and it'll give you random questions from those chapters. Once you start doing these or re-doing the MC chapter-by-chapter, I'd shoot for 80+% scores.

Yes, Becker will let you go back and do the homework as many times as you'd like. Again, I think it's important to switch over to simulated practice exams during your final review week. It throws everything to you and forces you to focus deeper on the mixture of questions.

The business law sections are the end of R4 through R7.

Just a piece of advice, you may want to take advantage of the 30 day trial right before the exam for 1 cent because there is an archived webinar on club 75 that helped me tremendously!!! Becker kinda brushed over it…

    IL - BECKER=============> DONE
    REG - 80; FAR - 65,79; AUD - 53,78; BEC - 71,68, 75 (used becker and yaeger for 3rd BEC)Ethics 95

Make sure you read everything through at least once. The lectures don't cover 100% of the material and there were questions on my exam covering some of that material. Focus on what they cover, but be familiar with the other stuff.

I agree 100% with Dale. It's more important to read the book than watch the lectures, because the lectures skip a lot of the material. I started out my first section watching the lectures and realized that quickly and thus switched over to just reading the book. So far, that strategy has worked for me!
