Hi fellow-cpa-wannabes,

First of all I’d like to take the time to congratulate those who passed their exams in the recent score release. Even better if you are DONE!! For those who didn’t do well, keep your heads up and understand this is one of the hardest, if not the hardest, exam to pass. Take a short break and go right back to slain this beast!

Now, back to the point to making this post. I have REG scheduled for 8/26 and have done both of the practice exams in Becker. First exam score was 80% and second exam was 81%. Both are calculated with the 60% MCQs 40% SIMs split.

For the past few days I have just been reviewing the notes I wrote and doing ALL of the questions in the progress tests. Here are the results by lectures:

R1: 90/96 = 93%
R2: 134/138 = 97%
R3: 232/255 = 91%
R4: 268/279 = 96%
R5: 203/214 = 94%
R6: 181/187 = 96%
R7: 157/170 = 92%
R8: 327/344 = 95%

Honestly, it would be a lie if I told you I didn’t recognize any answers from previous homework attempts. However, out of the total 1600+ questions, at most I think I only recognize maybe ~150 of them? And many of them I recognized, I reasoned it out.

Now my question is…with the actual exam coming up soon, what should I do to better prepare myself? Unlike what I did with BEC, this time with REG I haven’t done any of the flashcards. Should I be doing those as well?

With practice exam scores like that, I think you are going to do just fine. Just keep reviewing what you know and try to still learn something new every day. I think you're in good shape for this test.

Thanks guys for sharing! It is my 2nd exam but still not sure what to expect. I feel better prepared for REG than I was for BEC though. Fingers crossed!
