Did any one used Becker material who took REG in the previous windows have MCQ for ethics, copyright and money laundering? On previous post folks are saying that the ancillary material need to be read (which I will do) but when I did an update there was MCQ covering the ancillary items. Was this already there or should I be excited! ???

I took Reg in the last window and used Becker as well. I'm pretty sure there were MCQs for those three topics when I was preparing. I would highly recommend mastering the speciific stuff in the ethics section (I wish I would have spent more time reviewing that section). I hope this helps!! Good luck!

How do you do an update for the Becker software?

go to their website and there is a section that says update you can update any of the sections as long as you have the CD and it is still valid.

I take REG on Saturday. Just took my first practice final exam with Becker….I made an overall 81% for the multiple choice. If you've taken REG already, did you feel like Becker prepared you? Any similarities to the practice exam? I'm expecting the simulations to be form left field, so I'm figuring Becker's sims aren't much help….

took it last window. a lotta people said they needed to supplement becker with other review courses such as wiley or gleim but becker was real good with multiple choice. only got an 82, not an excellent score but not borderline, although it felt that way when i left the exam cause of the sims. anyways as long as you do the MC multiple times and know why the the answers are right and the ones that aren't are wrong you shoudl be fine

nope this is my first time taking it and I am SCARED!!!!!!! if you scored an 81 on the final exam in becker you will be fine. I scored about a 66 on the first final but for the progress test I am about in mid 80's

@ shdy thanks for the information. My main fear is that I knew a lot of information using becker for FAR but when I got on the test the questions that were given to me was nothing that I had practice ( in both FAR and Wiley). So for REG I am figuring the same thing 🙁

I feel like Becker did an excellent job preparing me for the exam, but that could also be due to the fact that I put a lot of time and effort (about 110-120 hrs) into knowing the material and practicing the mqcs. 81 is a great score on the sim exam so it sounds like you are well prepared! I felt as though the majority of questions that were on my actual exam were covered in Becker. I think that all of my mcqs and the majority of my sims (except one) were all over topics that I had practiced on Becker. Reg was the first exam that I had ever taken, so I don't have any other sections to compare it with. Good luck!!!

If you got in the 80s on the Becker practice exam first try you're looking good for the exam. Keep hammering home the MCQs until the exam

couldn't agree more. on the final practice MC, i only was getting mid 60s to low 70s for each of the testlets and for both final exams. you're definitely in good shape, just keep doing the MC as becker was very good with them

Ok thanks everyone! This feels good to hear. I took the other final exam on Becker, and got an overall 90% on the MC. So I guess I am good to go. I just hope I know how to work out at least some of the sims tomorrow on the real thing!

I guess the only thing that worries me is the ancillary material. I've heard that some people have gotten several questions from material not covered in detail in Becker. But maybe that's because they didn't study the ancillary material like they should have.
