I take FAR, which will be my first exam i am attempting, in just under two weeks. I am using Becker to prepare and I wanted to hear from people who also used Becker how their MCQ progress tests scores translated to exam success. I have been doing well on these progress tests and just wanted to see if this would transfer to the test.

Can someone please explain how to interpret the progress test reports. The graph they show is confusing and are the “unit detail” topics on the side the areas you need further studying in?

I use a spreadsheet for my progress tests. I have the Becker Chapters in column A, when you take a test, you can review the test and somewhere there is breakdown of how many ? per section and what % of those you got right. I fill out my spreadsheet with a trending average score down below the chapter breakdown.

I put an overall score at the bottom and the date I took the test.

After I take each test I can see broken down by chapter how I did and my score as a whole. When I see I scored 82% for Chapter 5 (which is Entity Taxation) and 64% on Chapter 8 (which is Business Law) that tells me what material need to focus on

I'm working on Reg now. If you open the “continue course” window and click on Chapter 8 for Reg and look at the very bottom. You can choose PT or Practice Test. You choose which chapters and how many questions total for each test. When you open reports it lists the tests by date. If you look at the report, it will tell you how did by chapter. If you go to the detailed report, it breaks it down by which section of each chapter the question came from.
