    Becker Question –

I have 5 days until my exam. My feeling right now is I would be better off continuing review and refining my skills in each area instead of using precious hours to complete the practice exam, but this is also my first time and I am really curious what all of you think? If the practice exam showed me if my answer was right/wrong right away I feel that it would
He worth it but I don’t know. Am I a fool to not do the practice exams??

It is personal preference. For me, I like to do the practice exams. I use Becker and I have BEC tomorrow. I will do the Practice Exam 2 today. Those exams give me a sense of whether I am ready or not for the real thing. My advice would eb to try it and then after trying it you can get a sense of what works for you.

What section are you taking this week? What review course do you use?

Good luck. FAR is a beast but everyone taking FAR is in the same position.

I would take the exams just as extra practice. I take them but I don't take the full 3 or 4 hours or treat them like the actual exam. I take about 2 hours or so. Then at the end I review. The practice exams are usually harder than the actual exam in my opinion. A lot of times they will have questions that you don't see throughout the homework. Just extra practice in my opinion.

I stopped taking the practice test after my first exam. To me they were a waste of time and a confidence killer.

I never took one. 4 hours is too much time. And it's not good practice, since you don't get the answers till the end of the exam. Better off studying normally for 4 hours.

What I found surprising about the actual exam vs my study course is that many of the MCQs did not require long drawn-out calculations and that I had absolutely no idea for many of the non calculation questions. With FAR, I felt that I went through the MCQs relatively quickly but the simulations were waaaaay more time consuming than expected. Or I just had no idea how to answer some of the simulations.

I ran into time crunches with FAR and BEC because of the simulations. I'm a slow test taker and the FAR simulations were horrible. I left one simulation blank on FAR. Had plenty of time for REG and AUD. Finished with plenty of time to spare. So my recommendation is try to speed through the MCQs, don't spend too much time on one question.

I have to agree with the others. If you are writing soon you should consider the amount of time it takes ( after writing for 3 or 4 hours straight) to look at the answers. I rarely actually go back and look at why I got something wrong because I’m just too exhausted.

I suggest you take a crack at one testlet. A good idea because I believe the questions are not recycled and go from there. I hit about 2/3 of an exam last night didnt do too bad, but skipped the stupid Becker questions that would take me 10 minutes to complete.

I didnt bother with them for FAR or AUD and did fine.

    AUD: Feb 29/16: 80
    FAR: Jun 10/16: 80

Thanks guys that helps. If you had three days left to study for FAR what would you recommend focusing on besides GOVT & NFP? Trying to not waste time on a relatively minute subject and use my precious time wisely
