    Becker users,

In general, how do you all score your first time going through the HW questions? I’m on my 4th exam now and have consistently gotten atrocious scores on pretty much everything for all the exams my first time through. There were a few AUD sections that I did decent on the first time through (80-85%). But overall I’d say I’ve averaged about 50% first time through the HW for all the exams. Mind you I watch the lectures and read the chapters diligently taking notes before I touch any HW. This isn’t anything that worries me because obviously you can still pass these exams if this happens, but really just curious if others are getting worked as bad as me the first time through.

Becker's test bank for Reg is very hard, but I wonder if its enough to pass the actual exam. I heard Gleim's questions are super hard for Reg, but I'm still debating if I should spend 249.00 on their simulations and MC. I could always sell it on eBay after I'm done.

I'm on my third section using becker and I usually score in the 60's on my first attempt. However, like you, there have been sections where I've scored in the 80s and other sections where I've scored low 50 (biz law ugh). Mostly in the 60s/low 70s range though. And usually right before the exam/during final review, I'll score somewhere in the 80s.

    REG: 90
    BEC: 74(ouch), retake 7/16/16

It is just funny because I used to freak out and get soooo stressed if I didn't do well, which was always lol. But as long as you take the time to learn why you got the questions wrong, it really doesn't matter what you're initial score is.

I've always scored in the low and high 60s. There have only been few instances with small easy sections where I've done fairly well in the 80s. Other people have said that scoring in the 60s is normal. It's all about learning and correcting mistakes.

I scored decently in AUD and REG initially, 60-70%, then 80% after going through the material thoroughly. With FAR I am doing poorly, in the low 50’s initially and only in the high 50’s after reviewing the material. However, I did 30 questions today FAR 1-5 and scored 90%.

Also, keep in mind some of the Becker questions are needlessly wordy. The actual exam questions are written much more straightforwardly.

@Martin, I think you are going to be one of the first people on the forum to score 99 in REG!

Papogator24, did you supplement Becker on your second try for Regulation? What did you do differently?

Yeah the Becker MCQs are hard. I go through them all once, usually end up with 55-70% overall in each section. Then I go back and do all the ones I got wrong, which pushes completion up to 70-85%. I'm regularly 65-70% on their practice tests. I like to do the Ninjas at least once through as well, as I find it fills in areas that Becker missed.

Martin, on my second go around for REG, I supplemented with NINJA MCQ. I honestly believe it is the main reason I've passed both REG and FAR (first try!). For every answer I got wrong, I wrote down the notes. Even if I got it wrong 5 times, I still wrote it down.

By the way, I do want to note that on the second go around, I purchased the gleam SIM wizard and it definitely helped me that much more to be prepared. I did the same for FAR and bought the SIM wizard.

Yea I avg around low-mid 60's the first go round. Some 75-80 sprinkled in there. Some instances during REG and currently for AUD I've hit 50's which I agree is disheartening. But I just write down why I got it wrong and keep trucking. First round seems to just humble to make you keep trying. I want AUD to be my last test soooo bad.

Papogator24, thanks for responding. I also got Gleim's simulation wizard for FAR, and that is how i was able to pass on my second try. They don't sell the simulation wizard anymore. They combine both the simulation wizard and MC test bank for 249.00.

For all Becker users, what happens when your becker license expires? Does the software just crush and you will not get access to videos, Homework, notes? Anyone who purchased becker review please share.

With AUD I was getting in the 80s – 90s (but I still failed last November with a 74!) and with FAR I was getting anywhere from 58 – 75 and I passed in February with a 76. I am haven't taken BEC or REG yet but I am anticipating that BEC will be “easier” like AUD and REG will be difficult to score high in like FAR.

I remember when I was studying for FAR and I thought I was headed for certain failure because my Becker scores were so much lower than when I was studying for AUD, I told a few of my accounting friends that I felt like I should just give up and they said that it is completely normal to score in the 50s – 70s for FAR because the Becker questions are difficult. The exam wasn't any easier though 🙂 so it is a good thing the questions are difficult.

    FAR - 76
    AUD - 74, 74
    BEC - 83
    REG - TBD
