I think Yaeger videos are way better than Becker videos. I use the Becker videos to cover some of the computational stuff in their books, but I use Yaeger to really understand the topic. I think you can get away with using 2012 materials for most of the sections with Yaeger and as result get them a little cheaper.
I couldn't imagine studying from the Wiley books. It looks like the Wiley books are designed to save paper as they just list things that you need to know in big blocky paragraphs. Yeager only has a companion guide, so I advise purchasing the Becker books at the very least. cough…EBAY. However if you don't bye the Becker software your missing out on a good test bank.
My system, which could be very expensive if you need all materials up to date, is to read and make flashcards on the Becker book until I understand the material almost completely. Then I watch the Yaeger videos to take my knowledge to the next level. Then I do Becker questions. Then I do Wiley questions.
I haven't took a test yet using this system, but I feel good about the material after I do a chapter using it.
I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:
"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"
