Becker Mock Exams

    I am using Becker for the first time and just took my first Mock Exam and got a 55. Could anyone tell me how indicative their scores are to the actual score? I’ve never used Becker before and my exam is on Wednesday. I know when I took a practice test with Gleim in the past, it was not very indicative of the actual score. I’m not too worried about it, but I’m not sure how to feel about it.

    By the way, this is for FAR, which I passed previously but now am having to retake.

    @Clockwork
    We had the same (unfortunate) fate. I also had to retake FAR (actually all of 4 CPA parts) because of missing the 18-month rule of CPA tests.

    I scored a 78 in 2014 and a 76 last quarter.

    I also had the same score in my Mock Exam #1. See below:
    ME1: 55
    ME2: 67
    Actual: 76

    Just keep grinding! I saw 1-2 similar SIMs from Mock Exams in my actual test. Becker also adds Mock Exam #3 recently. Becker’s grading system for SIMs is not that objective, but being able to practice with the level of difficulty of SIMs Becker lays out there is just unparalleled.

    I suggest you make sure you practice with the rest of the mock exams. Also check the link below so you could see other candidates’ report.

    @Clockwork – Getting in somewhere in the 50s might be doable for BEC because Becker is known for the biggest score bump on the actual exam for BEC, but you may want to get at least 60's range for other sections on your mock exams if you can.

    The mock exams are wasted energy IMO.
