Does anyone know what happens if you don’t show up to the Becker live classes? I’ve been viewing the online lectures and then attending the live class. I am getting a lot more out of the online lectures, while the live lectures offer little additional, if any, benefit. There is a $195 switching format fee and I don’t want to have to pay that so I was wondering what happens when you just don’t show up.

Nothing will happen outside of you probably not getting the Becker Promise which I don't think is a big deal. I didn't go to the live FAR lectures because it was delayed and I was halfway through by the time the class started.

Are you taking the classes for college credits? If so, double check to make sure you don't impact your ability to get the credit.

No, I'm not taking them for college credit. I was wondering if it was just losing out on the Becker Promise, which I will feel more confident about passing if I don't attend then if I do (sad, but true). I went to all the BEC classes and viewed the lectures online and felt the online lectures were more than sufficient. I did not feel confident about passing the exam, but received the Becker Promise, and I went to my first FAR class after watching the first couple lectures and it proved to be equivalent to how I felt about attending the BEC classes. If they don't disable my online user or automatically charge my credit card then I'll just self-study the rest of the way to CPA 🙂
